Once more, the wines of Santorini proved their high quality. Vinsanto 4 years aging (Vintage 2003), produced by the Association of Santorini Products, won the golden prize in the 9^th International Wine Competition that took place at the beginning of March in Thessaloniki town, Northern Greece. 812 wines from France, Brazil, Bulgaria, Greece, Italy, Spain, Cyprus, Romania and Slovakia took place in this competition, the only international wine competition that takes place in our country, and the wine of Santorini was chosen the best. Note that the island has a long tradition in wine making and many wineries as well as a wine museum can be found today on Santorini.
