Athens Airways, the third Greek airline company that was recently founded and started its itineraries only a few months ago, launched its first flight to Santorini island on April 10th, in an effort to serve better residents and tourists to the top Greek tourism destination. Apart from Olympic Airways and Aegean Airlines that already have flights to the island for many years so far, Athens Airways has also announced daily and frequent flights from Athens International Airport to Santorini. In June 2009, flights from Thessaloniki, northern Greece, will also be held. This news is certainly good for passengers as not only flights will be numerous but ticket prices will also be more competitive.
